Mary Elizabeth Meaders Long

Mary Elizabeth Meaders Long, age 90 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. Mrs. Long was born February 18, 1929 in White County to the late L.Q. Meaders and Hattie Mae Welchel Meaders. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Long, son, Ronald Long, sisters, Algene Pardue, Ina Pardue and Reba Palmer. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Wendy Long, Cleveland; Eugene and Becky Long, Chattanooga, TN; Craig and Helen Long, Acworth; daughter-in-law, Martha Long, Big Springs, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Welchel and Eunice Meaders, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bobby Ferguson, Cornelia; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Landen will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
