Mary Ruth Roberts

Mary Ruth Roberts, age 90 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018.     Mrs. Roberts was born January 30, 1928 in Bryson City, NC to the late Lillie Howard Cantrell and Fred Cantrell. She worked for Turner Chicken Farm and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell Roberts, daughter, Vickie Kay Cross, brothers, Clyde Cantrell, David Cantrell and Floyd “Bud” Cantrell.   Survivors include her daughter, Doris Jean Gilstrap, Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Sylvia and Michael Eminger, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Ronnie and Katy Roberts, Dahlonega; 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.   Funeral services are scheduled for 4 P.M. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chris Flowers will officiate.
