Mary McClain Williams, 68, of Cleveland passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Friday, December 3, 2021. While she leaves behind countless broken hearts and will be missed tremendously there is comfort in knowing that her sweet mama was the first one in line to welcome her home! Born in Anderson, SC she was the daughter of the late Oscar McClain, Sr. and Mildred Ray McGuire McClain. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she never met a stranger. Mary loved gardening, camping and traveling with her husband Steve. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold McClain and her great-granddaughter Brooklynn I’Ayda Shyann. She is survived by her loving husband Stephen Williams, Sr. of Cleveland, children, Melissa Venza of Cumming GA, Chris Holcombe of Cleveland, Davida Gunn of Toccoa, GA and Step-Son Steve Williams of Loganville, GA, sisters, Brenda Hamlin of Liberty, SC and Judy Atkins of Pendleton, SC; three brothers, Oscar McClain, Jr., James McClain and Terry McClain all of Liberty, SC; grandchildren, Josh Venza, Devin and Brook Cantrell, Austin and Landon Holcombe, Blaine, Brent, Bristol and Nevaeh Williams and great-grandchildren Aydon and Ayda Creekmore.
