Mrs. Maude Findley Bevard, age 78 of Cleveland passed away on Sunday, March 02, 2008 at her residence following a brief illness.
Born in Lincoln County, Georgia on May 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles Findley and Fannie Beasley Findley. Mrs. Bevard was a homemaker and attended White Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bevard, sisters, Reba Pulliam, Geneva Hopkins, Lena Nobles, brothers, Benny Findley, Walter Findley, and twin brother, Claude Findley.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles J. and Teresa Lynn Bevard, Jackson, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Morgan, Sr., Cleveland; sons and daughter-in-laws, Douglas and Eleanor Louise Bevard, Cleveland; John and Judy A. Bevard, Pigeon Forge, TN; sister, Reesie Erbert, Sylvester, GA; brothers, R.L Findley, Cleveland; Raymond Findley, Thompson, GA; Jesse Finley, Melvin Findley, both of Jackson, GA; Marvin Findley, Mitchell, GA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at White Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Garry English and the Rev. Preston Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday.
