Michael Dixon Head

Michael Dixon Head was born April 15, 1949, as the first son to FM and Hazel Standridge Head. He moved to heaven on August 12, 2024, after a prolonged health battle. Mike was an incredibly strong man, and he fought a good fight. He is finally at rest. He leaves behind his loved and loving wife, Judy Cothran Head and his beloved son, Ronnie Head. They were both essential to his life and gave him the best love and care for which a man could ever wish. Mike also leaves behind three siblings who loved him and will miss him dearly. Della Head Tolhurst, Richard A. Head and Joel M. Head and many other relatives and friends. Mike was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. All of us will take comfort in our many memories of Mike, his friendship, hard work, intelligence and sense of humor. His life will be celebrated at the Chapel of Barrett’s funeral home in Cleveland, Georgia on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 with a viewing at Barrett’s at 10:00 that same morning. He will be laid to rest at a private graveside service immediately following.
