Miranda Teresa Sumpter

Mrs. Miranda Teresa Sumpter, age 53, of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Mrs. Sumpter was born in Habersham County and is preceded in death by father, James Herman Franklin, Sr. and brother, James Herman Franklin Jr. Mrs. Sumpter was a member of The River Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include, daughter and son in law, Sabrina and Jack McCall, Clarkesville; daughter and son in law, Angela and Derek Watkins, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Shaun and Sara King, Hartwell; grandchildren, Tristen McCall, Makiya McCall, Jordan King, Hedi King, Casey King, Quiton King, Carson King; mother, Georgia M. Franklin, Toccoa; sister and brother in law, Sue and Daniel Kinsey, Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Ken and Kim Franklin, Demorest; and fiancé, Ricky Adams, Cornelia. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeryle Roach, Rev. Bill Trotter, and Rev. Danny Kastner will officiate. Interment will follow in Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am-2pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
