Mitchell Blalock

Mr. Mitchell Blalock, age 74, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023. Mr. Blalock was born in Clarkesville to the late J.W. and Willie Mae Turner Blalock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, David Blalock, Lamar Blalock, Ted Blalock, Jimmy Ray Blalock, and Regina Lovell. Mr. Blalock was Veteran of the United States Army with service in Vietnam. He was a restaurant owner and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Marietta. Survivors include wife, Sharon Blalock, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Kerri Blalock, Cartersville; grandchildren, James Stevens, Kennesaw, and Garrett Stevens, Los Angeles, CA. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2023 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Dr. Wayne Lovell will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday, prior to the service.
