Myron R. Countney

Mr. Myron R. Courtney, age 93 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August, 20, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Courtney was born November 25, 1916 in Washington DC to the late Neville and Effie Martin Courtney and was also preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Courtney, brothers: R. Lee Courtney and Roland Courtney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an accountant in the engineering field. Mr. Courtney was a member of Faith Community Church in Pennsauken, NJ. Survivors include his daughter and son in law: Virginia and Bob Hedden, Cleveland; granddaughters: Allison Hedden, Gainesville and Ashley and Amanda Hedden, Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, August, 26, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Cassety officiating. Entombment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
