Nancy Lee Gooch

Mrs. Nancy Lee Watkins Gooch, age 74, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Mrs. Gooch was born in Lumpkin County to the late Lee and Flora Phillips Watkins. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Oran Gooch, Sr.; great-grandson, Maverick James Oran Hill; brothers, David Watkins, Leon Watkins, and Jerry Watkins; and sisters, Wanda Funderburk and Gracie Lance. Mrs. Gooch worked at Gateway Health and Rehab as a cook. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and John Morris, Cleveland, Becky and Rusty Hill, Cleveland, and Joyce and Shane Warwick, Sautee; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Yvette Gooch, Jr., Cleveland; grandchildren, Shekeyla (B.J.), Brittney, Caleb (Chelsea), Shannon, Kevin (Stephanie), Jessica (Justin), Joel, Logan (Victoria), and Jared; great-grandchildren, Zayden, Haven, Adaleigh, Abram, Allie and Ava, Bella, Caleb, and Maddie; sisters, Mary Peek, Mandy Franklin, and Juanita Helton; and brother, Tommy Watkins. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, June 17, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Calvin Gooch and Rev. Jeff Lovell will officiate. Interment will follow in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday and from 10am until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
