Nancy Humphries Perkins

Nancy Humphries Perkins, age 52, of Bogart, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Mrs. Perkins was born on December 2, 1971, in Gainesville, Georgia, to Betty Humphries and the late Barnett Humphries. She worked as a business management for the Microbiology Department at the University of Georgia. In addition to her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Hazel Perkins. Survivors include her husband, Brian Perkins; daughter, Emma Perkins; son, Nathan Perkins; beloved dog, Hazel Mae; mother, Betty Humphries; sister, Phyllis Haney (Randy); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie Nelson (Walter); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Perkins, Jr. (Teresa) and John Perkins (Lisa); a host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to support the UGA Department of Microbiology at mib.uga.edu/giving .
