Naomi Starcher

Naomi Starcher, age 91 of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.   Ms. Starcher was born on November 22, 1925 to the late Glen and Helen White Thompson. She retired from First National Bank of Gainesville and was member of Helen First Baptist Church. Ms. Starcher was a past president of Credit Women International, a Member of Friends, and worked with the Alzheimer’s group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Audra Starcher; daughter, Patricia Ann Starcher Horne.   Survivors include her son-in-law, Thomas Horne, Sautee; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn E. and Kay Thompson, Rushville, IN; brother, Garland R. Thompson, South Carolina; granddaughter and husband, Karissa Horne Jones and John Jones; great grandchildren, Brieanna Jones and Katherine Jones; 5 nephews and 1 niece.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Holmes will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park.   The family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M.
