Narve Franklin Dyer

Narve Franklin Dyer, age 64 of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Mr. Dyer was born March 24, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Watson and Fannie West Dyer. Narve was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He sang and played the guitar for the gospel group Disciples for Christ. Mr. Dyer was formerly employed by Mt. Yonah Lumber Company and Hogan Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Brittany Berry and brother Maccher Dyer. Survivors include his sister, Rachel Berry, Cleveland; brother, Powell Dyer, Cleveland; nephews, Homer Dyer, Grady Berry; niece, Melinda Dyer; grandchildren, Tiffany Berry, Kami Dyer, Kadam Dyer, Justin Berry; great grandson, Brentley Turner. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Vandiver, the Rev. Joel Shadburn and the Rev. Marc Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
