Mr. Ned P. Satterfield, age 87, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, May 01, 2007 at Gateway Healthcare Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Satterfield was born in White County, Georgia on September 9, 1919 to the late Tedford and Queen Allen Satterfield. He served in the U.S. Army, retired from Terminal Transport Inc. in Atlanta and was a White County Sheriff’s Deputy for 10 years. Mr. Satterfield was an ordained deacon for 32 years and a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Dorothy Jean Satterfield; brothers: Bunk, Willie B. and Henry Satterfield, and a sister Sara Lou Dorsey.
Survivors include wife of 64 years, Beulah Stovall Satterfield, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law: Bill & Debbie Satterfield, Baldwin; son: Parks Satterfield, Cleveland; daughters and son-in-laws: Cheryl and Robin Allen, Cleveland and Brenda & Jesse Souther, Cleveland; grandchildren: Tonya Satterfield, Gainesville; Joseph Satterfield, Baldwin; Lacey Allen, Gainesville; Jordan Allen, Cleveland; Autumn Lusk, Demorest; Chase Butler, Cleveland; Taylor Souther, Cleveland; and granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Laurie & Tommy Siebert, West Palm Beach, FL; great-grandchild: Anna Siebert, West Palm Beach, FL; special friend: Judy McDougald, Habersham; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2007 from Blue Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Carter, Rev. Milton Harris and Rev Jason Daniell officiating.
Burial will follow in Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
