O.C. Burch age 80, of Cleveland passed away Sunday December 28, 2025.

Mr. Burch was born in Hiawassee, Georgia he was the son of the late Willis and Elenora Nichols Burch. A devoted deacon of his church Gethsemane Baptist Church. O.C. lived his faith through quiet service, steady kindness and a life rooted in devotion to God and family. Outside of church, he was an exceptional softball player whose love for the game brought him joy and lifelong friendships. After retiring from Global Tech industries, he could most often be found tending to his yard, mowing the grass caring and taking pride in keeping everything just right. Above all, O.C. was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Geneva, and proud father to his daughter, Heather. He cherished his role as “Papa” to his three granddaughters, Sarah, Allie and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents and son in law, Greg Nix.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Geneva Burch; daughter, Heather Nix Hood (Steve); grandchildren, Sarah Nix, Allie Nix, Alexis Maddox; sisters, Sylvia Taylor (Gary), Betty Souther (James); numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday December 31, 2025, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Shannon Irvin and Rev. Donald Grizzle will officiate.
