Ora Thomas Freeman

Mrs. Ora Thomas Freeman, age 90, of Demorest, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. Mrs. Freeman was born in Cleveland to the late Jonah and Hazel Mulkey Thomas. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Crawford Freeman; and brothers and sisters, W.C. Thomas, Olean Bates, Juanita Moose, Neal Thomas, J.B. Thomas, Lester Thomas, and Minnie Robinson. Mrs. Freeman was a poultry farmer for over 30 years with her husband, Crawford. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Angela Freeman; grandchildren, Caleb and Anna Freeman, and Malorie Freeman; great-grandchildren, Avery Freeman and Audrey Freeman; sister, Ida Loggins; brother and sister-in-law, Garvice and Joan Thomas; brother, Robert Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Garvice Kinsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Demorest. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday, March 13, 2023 at the funeral home.
