Orem Chambers

Mr. Orem Chambers, age 90, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026. 

Mr. Chambers was born in Habersham County to the late Tom and Nora McIntyre Chambers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lou Chambers; grandson, Anthony Chambers; brother, Haskell Chambers; sisters, Ruth Fortenberry, Blanche Carpenter, Marie Dillard, Mary Willow Hood, Nell Holcomb, and Carolyn Crane. 

Mr. Chambers was a truck driver and farmer and worked at Fieldale during his career and was a member of Cleveland Worship Center. 

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Terese Chambers and Barry and Tammi Chambers; sister, Evelyn Wilson; grandchildren, Josh Chambers, Jesse Chambers, and Amanda Chambers; great-grandchildren, Lilly Chambers, Kash Chambers, Brooklyn Chambers, Jordan Chambers, and Stella Chambers; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Marc Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2026, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
