Patrick Andrew Keene, age 77, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Kenneth R. Keene and Vivian Lonnelle (Nella) Bailey Keene of White County. 

Patrick was born January 9, 1949, in Arkansas City, Kansas, where his parents had settled after World War II. In 1950 the family moved to Athens, Georgia where his father attended the University of Georgia Law School. In 1954 the Keene family moved to Hall County, where Patrick attended Lula Elementary and East Hall High School. In 1966 the family moved to White County where Patrick graduated from the White County High School in 1967. He then attended Truett-McConnell College where he met his future wife, Mary Burton. They had one daughter, Penny Louise Keene, who was born in 1972.

Patrick joined the United States Air Force in 1970, attending tech school in Illinois, training as an aircraft pneudraulic repairman and later serving in Thailand. He was honorably discharged as a Sargent in 1973.

Later Patrick entered the transportation industry working for TSMC, which took him across the United States driving a record One Million accident-free miles. He later drove for J&M before returning to Cleveland in the 1990s and working with his brother, Jeffrey, building playgrounds for Ricky Pardue; later working for his brother, K. Grant Keene, an attorney, and finally in various maintenance capacities for White County. Patrick was also a member of the Mossy Creek United Methodist Church.

Patrick was predeceased by his former wife, Gayle Everett.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Rick Seamon and grandchildren Taylor, Colton, and Keeley; siblings, Grant Keene (Peggy), Kellah Berube (Leo), Jeffrey Keene (Lynne); and nieces (Rachelle Suzanne Foster; Jennifer Lonnelle Frances Phillips; Katherine Michelle Bezuideenhout; nephew Matthew Paul Davis and 12 great grand nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00PM at the Barrett Funeral Home.
