Paul Neal Sutton

Paul Neal Sutton, age 68, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Mr. Sutton was born on January 7, 1955, in Habersham County, to the late Phineus Sutton, Sr. and Maggie Tate Sutton. Starting at a young age he attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and building things. Paul graduated from White County High School and after graduation he went to work for the City of Cleveland and later worked as a block mason and community maintenance worker. Mr. Sutton loved and was loved by many. He never met a stranger. Survivors include two daughters, Marlana Sutton (Ibrahima) and Kinta Nicely; and sons, Josh Crawford (Lynn) and Kendrick Sutton; siblings, Lounell Sutton; Willie Sutton (Dot), Bud Sutton, Ernest Sutton (Mary); 6 grandchildren; second father, Emory Brock; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 17, 2023, at St. John’s Baptist Church. The Rev. Bryan Sutton will officiate.
