Paula Gooch Anderson

Paula Gooch Anderson, age 71, of Cleveland, passed away on September 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Ms. Anderson was born on November 17, 1949 to the late Roy and Pauline “Ma” Woody Gooch. Paula was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary Gooch and Judy Rochelle. Paula ran Ma Gooch’s Restaurant and co-owned Jackson’s Flowerland for years. She had an eye for design and made each and every arrangement with her personal touch. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Paula knew her and would describe her as selfless, giving, caring, and would help anyone any way that she could during their time of need. The past few years she helped her sister run Linda’s Convenience Store. Whenever someone met Paula, she always told them about her daughter and grandson (Paulette and Jordan). She was so proud of them and she lived her life for her family. Paula was a faithful witness for our Lord. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she would take time to pray for someone with a need or extend a helping hand to them anyway she could. Survivors include her daughter, Paulette Gray, Cleveland; grandson, Jordan Dover, Cleveland; sisters, Linda McGuire, Cleveland, and Tammy Pruitt, Flowery Branch. Paula lived her life to be the way Jesus wants us to be… to care for and love one another and when the angels took her to Heaven we know that God said to Paula, “Well done my faithful servant.” A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
