Peggy Sue Harkins

Peggy Sue Harkins, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. Mrs. Harkins was born in White County to the late Robert and Annie Mae Dyer Edge. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Dennis Harkins; daughter, Hazel Swindoll; grandson, Shannon Shuler; sisters, Versie Sears, Mamie Gooch, and Ruth Evans; brothers, Leroy Edge and John Ed Edge. Survivors include son, Denton Harkins, Mt. Airy; daughters, Carol Magness, Patsy Harkins, and Helen Simpson, all of Cleveland; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. W.A. Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park.
