Phillip Young

Phillip Neal Young, age 71, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Mr. Young was born on February 23, 1951, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Joseph and Pauline Satterfield Young. He was an electrician and a member of Tesnatee Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Henry Young, Jr., Jack Young, JoAnn Harkins, Betty Burgess, Edward Young, and Richard Young. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Young, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Liz Young; nieces and nephews, Brandi Flor, Kim Rankl, Hope Dorsey, Stacy Hendrix, Stevie Burgess, Donna Chumney, Kina Hester; a host of other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery on Tesnatee Gap Valley Road. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
