Polly A. Cantrell

Mrs. Polly A. Cantrell, age 84, of Sautee, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Cantrell was born in White County the daughter of the late Gus and Hazel Rice Abernathy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Eula Nix; and brothers, Bud Abernathy and Jim Abernathy. Mrs. Cantrell was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church for 66 years. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Paul Cantrell, Sautee; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Doug Nix, and Cathy and Bruce McGinnis, all of Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Melinda Cantrell, Tony and Tressy Cantrell, and Fritz and Carol Abernathy, all of Sautee; son-in-law and wife, Ellis and Virginia Nix, Sautee; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Shannon Rhodes, the Rev. Anthony Shore and the Rev. Benny Nix will officiate.
