Powell Lee Butler

Powell Lee Butler, age 78 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.   Mr. Butler was born on July 23, 1939 in Gainesville, Georgia to Edna Frady Butler and the late Pratt Butler. He was a retired machinist for The Times newspaper. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Butler and sister, Stella Kinney.   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Butler, Gainesville; sons, Anthony Butler and Michael Butler, both of Gainesville; mother, Edna Butler, Gainesville; brother, Richard Butler, Murrayville.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Trinity Full Gospel Church. The Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
