Preston Wright

Preston D. Wright, age 66 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Wright was born October 17, 1948 in La Plata, MD to the late Norris and Thelma Rankin Wright. He was employed 32 years at Mallinckrodt Inc., in St. Louis, MO, and Elan, in Gainesville, GA, where he worked as a chemist. He taught religious Confirmation Classes in St. Louis, MO and Cleveland, GA for a number of years, where he touched the lives of many young students. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by an infant child. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Wright, Gainesville; son, Paul Wright, Gainesville; niece, Melissa; nephews, David, Jason, Todd, and Scott; and many friends also survive. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland, GA.
