R. J. Jordan

Mr. R.J. Jordan, age 80 of Sautee, formerly of Gwinnett, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Stephens County, Georgia on May 07, 1927, Mr. Jordan had lived most of his life in Gwinnett County. Mr. Jordan was retired after 31 years as a Motor Transport Carrier, was a member of the Teamsters of Atlanta, and had recently moved to White County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Sue Black Jordan, son, Ricky Jordan, granddaughter, Amber Jordan, sister, Lillie Mae Nichols, and a brother, Marvin Jordan. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Emma Jordan, son, Danny Jordan, all of Sautee-Nacoochee; grandchildren, Nicole and Steve Bruck, Lawrenceville; Tonya and Jason Heffner, Sautee; Clay Jordan, Lawrenceville; Diane Jordan, Lilburn; DeAnn Jordan, Duluth; Chelsea Jordan, Robbinsville, NC; great-grandchildren, Conner & Jordan Bruck, Lawrenceville; Gage & Levi Heffner, Sautee; Max Jordan, Loganville; Ethan Maeroff, Duluth; and numerous relatives in the Toccoa area. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday.
