Rachel Viola Skelton Satterfield

Mrs.Rachel Viola Skelton Satterfield age 98 of Cleveland passed away Saturday January 17, 2009 at Friendship Health Care following an extended illness. Mrs. Satterfield was born in White County the daughter of the late Claud and Dora Hogan Skelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Satterfield, sons, Donald Satterfield, Billy Satterfield, Randall Satterfield and Roger Satterfield. Mrs. Satterfield was a member of Zion Interdenominational Church. Survivors include her daughter, Valworth Satterfield Saul, Morrow; son and daughter in law, Benny and Patricia Satterfield, Cleveland; brother, Kenneth Skelton, Cleveland; sisters, Ophelia Estes, Gainesville, Kate Wise, SC., Louise Skelton, Gainesville, Gilbretta McGhee, Cleveland, Claudine Jackson, Marietta; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday January 19, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
