Rachel Moon Tarpley

Rachel Moon Tarpley, age 79 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Tarpley was born March 27, 1933 in Norcross, GA to the late Ernest Andrew and Bertie Lee Singleton Moon. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband Richard Albert Tarpley Sr., sisters Polly Hughes, Ernestine Rosser and Trudell Duncan. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Jack Sanford; son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Joann Fain Tarpley, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Heather and Trey Godfrey; Brandon Tarpley; Joseph and Addi Vandegriff, all of Cleveland; Megan and Drew Camp, Fort Bragg, NC; great grandchildren, Zachary Godfrey, Rachel Anne Godfrey, both of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Pete Emerson, OR. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, December 13, 2012 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
