Rad Michael "Mike" Mangum

August 14, 1955 — October 15, 2023

Rad Michael Mangum (Mike), age 68, of Cleveland (formerly of Gainesville) passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Braselton. Mr. Mangum was born on August 14, 1955, in Hall County, to Rad and Juanita Mangum. He was a graduate of Johnson High School and North Georgia Technical College. He worked in the textile manufacturing industry and later as a small engine mechanic owning his own shop before retiring. He loved fishing, go-cart racing, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren most of all. In the last several years he learned to garden on a small scale and enjoyed the solitude of life in the country. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rad and Juanita Mangum, and brother-in-law, Walter McNeal. He is survived by his wife- April Mangum of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jonathan Poff of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Alyssa Mangum of Bogart; grandchildren- Maddie, Hayden, Addyson, and Kaitlynn Poff of Gainesville; sisters, Alice McNeal of Gainesville, and Tammy Carter (Dean) of Chestnut Mountain and numerous nieces and nephews. The celebration of life will be a drop-in at Chattahoochee Baptist in Cleveland from 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hall County Humane Society or to the University of North Georgia Foundation. Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland.
