Ralph Grant Burton

Mr. Ralph Grant Burton, age 53 of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Burton was born on October 10, 1955 in Habersham County to the late Paul and Ruby Martin Burton. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Burton, grandson Gage Burton and sister, Mary Burton. He worked for Cleveland Builders Supply and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: Wife: Gail Burton, Cleveland; daughter: Teresa Price, Cleveland; daughter and son in law: Ruby & Larry Evans, Dahlonega; son: Billy Burton, Cleveland; 4 brothers, Phillip Burton and Jimmy Burton, both of Murrayville; Frankie Burton, South Carolina and Billy Burton, Gainesville; 2 sisters: Cathy Burton, Baldwin and Martha Parker, Gainesville: 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from the chapel at Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Taylor and the Rev. Danny O'Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 on Friday at the funeral home.
