Ray O. Garnett

Ray O. Garnett, age 79 of Murrayville, passed away June 21, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Garnett was born November 9, 1933 in Kentucky to the late Oby and Nora Duncan Garnett. He was retired from asphalt construction and then was employed by Walt Disney World. Mr. Garnett was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles Garnett, Oby Garnett Jr., James Garnett and Robert Garnett. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Les Hanna, Murrayville, GA; son, Robert Garnett, Winchester, KY; ex-wife, Dianna Johnson, Winchester, KY; sister-in-law, Martha Garnett, Greenwood, IN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deanna and Morris Shelton, Winchester, KY; numerous nieces and nephews; the animals he was devoted to Rudy, Hawk, Emma, Millie, Sissy, Squirt, Slinky, Bessie, Nina, Ellie Mae, George, Willie, Abby and Lucy. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home, Georgetown, KY.
