Raymond Arnold Harkins

Raymond Arnold Harkins, age 79, of Maysville, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Mr. Harkins was born on July 22, 1942, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Dillard and Gertrude Palmer Harkins. He was a self-employed truck driver. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Harkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, L.G. and Opal Harkins, and Ernie and Margaret Harkins. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Cindy Harkins, Maysville; daughters, Amanda Franklin and Barbara Bowman, both of Jefferson; mother-in-law, Robbie Standridge; grandchildren, Courtney Harkins, Beth Harkins, Stephen and Candi Franklin, Andrew Franklin, Chris and Misty Hicks, and Ashley and James Paul; great-grandchildren, Paris Pethel, Lydia Franklin, Anthony Franklin, Peyton Hicks, Morgan Hicks, Tyler Hicks, Konner Paul, and Hudson Paul; siblings, Hansel Harkins (Barbara), Jean Helton, Pat Black (Tommy), Shirley Powers, Eloise Scott (Ralph), and Margie Dyer (Ray); sister-in-law, Linda Brooks, Angela Nicholson (Joey); several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Gooch and the Rev. Calvin Gooch will officiate.
