Raymond Eugene Mote, age 74 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Mote was born in Dacula, GA on November 1, 1935 to Florene Maynard Mote and the late Frank Mote. He was a mechanic and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Mote was preceded in death by his son Shane Michael Mote, sisters Glora, Thendal, and Myrtle.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Mote, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Kelly Mote, Cleveland; son Bobby Mote; mother, Florene Mote, Blairsville; sister, Jimmy Sterns, Blairsville; brother, Billy Mote, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Dillon Mote, Lacey Mote, Allison Perry, Anthony Perry, Alexander Mote, all of Cleveland.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry Poole will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
