Raymond David Skelton

Raymond David Skelton, age 93, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024. Mr. Skelton was born in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Howard and Neola Bentley Skelton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Skelton; and brothers, Rufus Skelton and Talmadge Thomas Skelton. He was a painter and a member of Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. Mr. Skelton is survived by his daughters, Diane Gragg, of Cleveland, Doris Atkins, of Cleveland, and Denise (Steve) Gilbert, of Lula; grandchildren, Rev. Anthony Tatum, Lance Tatum, Kayla Atkins, Kimberly Boyd, Cody Lowe, and Walker Gilbert; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Melvina Hill; and other extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M Friday, July 5, 2024, at Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Paul Flynn, Rev. Anthony Tatum, and Rev. Bobby Ivester officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Barrett Funeral Home.
