Rev. Glen C. Hogan

October 9, 1919 — February 16, 2008

Rev. Glen C. Hogan age 88 of Cleveland passed away Saturday February 16, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. Rev. Hogan was born in White County the son of the late Watson Thomas and Bertie Dora Carpenter Hogan. He was preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Bowen, Gladys Irvin Rogers, Marilyn Hogan, brothers, Hoyt Hogan and Wallace Hogan. Rev. Hogan was a Minister and pastored Welcome Worship Center, Mt. Vernon Fire Baptized Church and Community Chapel. He attended The Bridge Church, was a former youth Pastor at Union Grove Holiness Church and former Associate Pastor at Zion Interdenominational Church. Rev. Hogan was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War 11 where he received the Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Good Conduct Medal. He has three sons that served in the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his wife, Lois Chambers Hogan, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Ralph and Karen Hogan, Rex and Dolly Hogan, Arlen and Lynn Hogan, Wayne and Marsha Hogan, all of Cleveland; Larry Glen and Carolyn Hogan, Armuchee; daughter and son in law, Marilyn and David Adams, Cleveland; brother, Leroy Hogan, Cleveland; sister, Ernestine Ellett, Vancover, WA. 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday February 18, 2008 from Union Grove Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Flynn, Rev. L.G. Howard, Rev. Patrick Ballington, and Rev. Jamie Smith will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences to the family may be made at barrettfh.com.
