Rev. Jimmy Russell Palmer

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday August 18, 2007 at Mt. View Baptist Church for Rev. Jimmy Palmer age 68 of Cleveland. The Rev. Guy Lee, the Rev. Terry Head and the Rev. Perry Smith will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Palmer passed away Thursday August 16, 2007 at Northeast Ga Medical Center following an extended illness. Rev. Palmer was born in White County the son of the late Willis and Susie London Palmer. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Palmer, Marvin Palmer and sisters, Bonnie Palmer and Cora Lee Pruitt. Rev. Palmer served 54 years in the ministry and pastored several churches in White and Habersham Counties. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Palmer, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Judy and Bill Manus, Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Darren Jimmy and Tina Palmer, Terry Stanley and Jodi Palmer, all of Cleveland; brother, Loy Palmer, Cleveland; sisters, Lois Broadnax, Thomaston, Velva Nell Palmer, Cleveland; grandchildren, Chanda Barrett, Tiffany Barrett, Brittany Barrett, Michaela Palmer, Abby Palmer, Jordan Russell Palmer, Sydney Palmer.
