Richard Lindsey Dennis

Richard Lindsey Dennis, age 72 of Sautee, passed away on December 29, 2020. Mr. Dennis was born on December 18, 1948, in Alliance, Ohio, to the late Homer and Ione Barnhart Dennis. He retired from Outdoor Therapeutic Program as Food Service Director and a member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Richard was a member of Knights of Columbus, where he formerly served as Grand Knight, 4th Degree Alpine Assemblies, Past Faithful Navigator of the Apline Assembly, Vice Chief of the Georgia Southern Band of Cherokees and Creek, and CEO of the Sautee Nacoochee American Indian Conservancy Trust as well as CEO of the Keepers of the Mound. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Dennis, Sautee Nacoochee; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Kristin Dennis, Sautee Nacoochee; step-son, Keith Shollenbarger, Sautee Nacoochee; step-daughter and step son-in-law, Ashley and Russell Hilley; brother and sister-in-law, Les and Iris Dennis, Sautee Nacoochee; grandchildren, Wren Dennis, Archer Dennis, and Benjamin Greenway.
