Richard "Ric" Mccallister

Richard "Ric" Lewis McCallister, age 69, of Alto, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Mr. McCallister was born on January 2, 1955, in Cleveland, Georgia, the beloved son of the late Marvin and Leona Littleton McCallister. Ric will be remembered as a devoted father, loving grandfather, and a man of integrity who valued hard work and honesty above all. His warmth and unwavering commitment to his family left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, Ric was preceded in death by his brother, Dan McCallister, and sister, Beverly Jerrell. He is survived by his cherished daughter and son-in-law, Devin and Derek Stevens, and his treasured grandchildren, Billie Jean Stevens and Bodie Daniel Stevens. Ric's legacy also lives on through his brothers, Ken McCallister and Pete McCallister; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Jody McCallister; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services to honor Ric's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home, with Mr. Derek Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
