Richard Howard Robinson

Mr. Richard Howard Robinson, age 72, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2pm at Barrett Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Georgia, with interment to follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The Reverend David Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson was born on December 27, 1951, in Hall County, Georgia and was the son of the late Vernon Pitman Robinson and Ruby Elizabeth Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Vernon Lee, Doug, and Marvin. Mr. Robinson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Ann Robinson, his son, Richard “Richie” Howard Robinson (Adrienne) of Nicholson, Georgia and his daughter Jennifer Ann Lewis (David) of Cornelia, Georgia, 11 grandchildren; Andrew Robinson, Silas Lewis (Annabelle), Carter Robinson (Lauren), Catherine Robinson, John Lewis, Ethan Lewis, Joy Annalise Lewis, Josiah Lewis, Isabella Robinson, Zach Lewis (Ashley), Liza McAllister (Caleb) and 7 great grandchildren; Oliver Robinson, Ruby Lewis, Gideon Lewis, Layton Lewis, Isaiah McAllister, Benjamin Lewis and Maelee McAllister . Mr. Robinson loved his family, his truck and his DAWGS. He was self-employed as a long-haul truck driver for 45 years, prior to his 5 years of retirement. He attended New Holland CH Church later in life and, during his time of illness, he enjoyed learning from Robert Morris on Sunday mornings.
