Richard Lee Sheets

Richard Lee Sheets, age 76 of Cleveland, GA, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Sheets was born June 19, 1934 in Huntington, WV to the late Clarence M. and Gwendolyn Leonard Sheets. He was an ordained lifetime Deacon and member at First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, FL, Director of law enforcement in Palm Beach County, FL where he served 34 years. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was married 56 years to Carole Y. Sheets, they had a loving marriage and he was her soul mate. They rejoiced in the Lord together, he was a beloved Father and Grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Carole Y. Sheets; son, Bret Sheets; Linda Spardlin; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Mike Tucker; grandchildren, Ryan Weber; Andrew Weber; Cameron Sheets; April Tucker; Richard Joshua Tucker; great-grandchildren, Sienna Weber; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jeannie Sheets; sister Judie Paxton.
