Rickey Albert Henderson Sr.

Rickey Albert Henderson, age 70, of Sautee, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Mr. Henderson was born on January 14, 1956, to the late Albert and Rosa Lee Youngblood Henderson. He retired after 30 years of hard work and will always be remembered for his work ethic. In addition to his parents, Rickey was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Lawrence; granddaughter, Zoey Henderson Cloer; father-in-law, Carlton “Pop Pop” Sprague.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Henderson; daughter, Mechelle Henderson-Cochran; sons, Rickey Albert Henderson, Jr. and Dillon Henderson; grandchildren, Michael Henderson, Joey Henderson Cloer, Peyton Cochran; great-grandchild, Liam Henderson; sisters, Brenda Lee, Trudy Adams, Marie Henderson; brother, Cecil Henderson; sister-in-law, Carlene Mehl (Jim); brothers-in-law, Scottie Sprague (Lajean), Joey Sprague, and Kenneth Lawrence; mother-in-law, Arlene “Mom Mom” Helms (Wayne); a host of extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Michael Youngblood will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 27, 2026, at the funeral home.
