Robbie Barden

Mrs. Robbie Barden, age 88 of Dalton passed Monday, September 22, 2008 away at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Barden was born on December 9, 1919 to the late Scroggs And Lizzie Abercrombie Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ernest Barden, son, Charles Barden, daughter, Charlotte Stringer, brother, Craig Rogers and a granddaughter, Stacie Barden. Mrs. Barden worked as a cook for a nursing home. Survivors include: son and daughter in law: Stanley & Mary Barden, Dalton; daughter and son in law: Teresa & Aleck Holbrooks, Demorest; son in law: John Stringer, Gainesville; sister and brother in law: Evelyn and John Henry Little, Gainesville; sister in law, Pauline Barden; Cleveland; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 25, 2008 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Chad Holbrooks and Rev. Verner London officiating. Burial will follow at Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Hamilton Hospice, P.O.
