Robert Paul Parsons

Robert Paul Parsons, age 80 of Simpsonville, South Carolina, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Mr. Parsons was born on January 28, 1934, in Miami, Florida, to the late Paul and Phyliss Stevens Parsons. He was retired from the Miami, FL Police Department after 25 years serving as police officer and a homicide detective, was formerly employed as a deputy sheriff with the White County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He also was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Center Baptist Church. Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by his son, Craig Parsons. Survivors include his wife, Donna Parsons, Simpsonville, SC; daughters, Dee Dee Edwards, Colorado and Melissa Klawitter, South Carolina; sons, Brad Parsons, Newnan, GA and Paul Tritsch, South Carolina; sister, Paula Pambianco, California; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Center Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
