Roger Jay Cantrell

Roger Jay Cantrell age 55, of Sautee Nacoochee passed away Monday December 28, 2015. Mr. Cantrell was born in Habersham County the son of the late Esco and Virginia Caudell Cantrell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Nelms and brother, Richard Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was a Carpenter and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include sisters and brothers in law, Edna and Tim Fortner, Judy and George Fortner, Teleta and Danny Pritchett; sister, Rosella Watson; brothers and sisters in law, Julian and Marraine Cantrell, Ben and Beth Cantrell, Mitchell and Rita Cantrell; brother Bobby G. Cantrell; brother in law, Duel Nelms; a multitude of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday January 1, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. George Fortner will officiate. Interment will be at York Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
