March 15, 1956 – December 17, 2020 Ronald (Ron) J. Hart 64 years of age of Cleveland passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Louise Hart and son James (Jimmy) Hart. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sheila Hart, sons Ronald Joseph (Joe) Hart, Jr. (Nichole), Nicholas Higgins (Annette), and Kyle Higgins (Kaitlyn), grandchildren Kirk McDowell (Jordan), Brianna Valle, Ryan Hart, Anthony Valle, Caila Valle, Hunter Higgins, Juliana Hart, Cameron Higgins, Macy McBrayer, Preston Hart, Trevor Hart, and Kendal Higgins, and brother Edward Hart (Susan), as well as a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ron attended Auburn University and served in the U. S. Army being stationed in Frankfurt Germany for most of his military career. He then was employed by DeKalb County Government in the field of data processing and network engineering. After retiring from DeKalb County, he was employed by Layer3 Communications working in network engineering until retirement. Ron and Sheila moved to Cleveland shortly after his retirement where he enjoyed living next to the Chattahoochee River kayaking with his children, grandchildren, and friends. His greatest joy was being around his children and grandchildren who all looked to him for his wisdom, opinions, and advice. He was a member at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Private services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The funeral services will be broadcast and those can join the family following the service in the church cemetery. The family ask that all who attend the graveside service practice social distancing guidelines and refrain from all physical contact. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
