Ronald Lee Sparks, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Lee Sparks, Sr., age 76 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Sparks was born May 30, 1937 in Dekalb County to the late Henry Edward and Iris Louise Sparks. He was an accountant and also in the ministry for 46 years. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Edward Sparks, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Sparks, Cleveland; sons, Ronald Jr. (Deborah) Sparks, Fairmont, Ross (Julie) Sparks, Cleveland, Tony (Keily) Sparks; daughter, Susan (Dean) Sullens, Cleveland; sister, Virginia Harris, Grayson; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2014 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Brother Virgil Barnard, Brother Ross Sparks and Brother Guy Lee will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
