Mrs. Rosie Jean Tomlin Dyer, age 75 of Cleveland died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Dyer was born in White County, the daughter of the late Ed and Eliza Smith Alexander. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Tomlin and her second husband, Guy Dyer, daughters, Darlene Ariail, Janie Hall, sister, Betty Loggins and brothers, Coy Alexander, Ronald Alexander, Jake Alexander, Raymond Alexander, Laymond Alexander and Joe Alexander. Mrs. Dyer was a homemaker and a member of New Bridge Baptist Church. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law: Ann & Ronnie Johnson, Cleveland; sons and daughter-in-laws: David and Cindy Tomlin, Dale and Marsha Tomlin, all of Cleveland; sister: Lois Tomlin, Cleveland; brothers: Bill Alexander and Donald Alexander, both of Cleveland; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from New Bridge Baptist Church. The Rev. Chris Alexander and the Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate.. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-9 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
