Roy E. Adams

Roy Edward Adams, age 71 of Demorest, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Southern Regional Medical Center. Mr. Adams was born on May 9, 1943 to the late Oscar and Bertie Hunt Adams. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Shriners and Masons. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Avaleen and William Hood and sister-in-law, Diane Adams. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Adams; daughter, Dawn Butler; son, Ryan Adams; sisters, Nell (Bobby) Helton and Jennie Sue (Charles) Simmons; brothers, Ray Adams and Harold (Carolyn) Adams; brothers Herman (Evelyn) Adams and Ernest (Barbara) Adams; and close family friend Mae Thomas. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Barrett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
