Roy Helton Jr.

Roy Helton, Jr., age 77, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Mr. Helton was born on November 23, 1948, in Habersham County, to the late Roy Helton, Sr. and Thelma Tomlin Helton. He was a self-employed carpenter. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sister, Wilette McClellon; brothers, Kenneth Helton, Jimmy Helton, and Jerry Helton; granddaughter, Tabitha.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Helton; sons, Ricky Helton (Hannah), Chris Helton, and Allen Miller (Wanda); daughters, Jan Gooch (Tony), and Peggy Jackson (Jackie); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chase, Justin, Autumn, Andrew, Tyler, Cory, Jason, Shawna, Breanna, and Mark; sisters, Debbie Worley (Danny), and Linda McKay; brothers, Melvin Helton, Danny Helton, and Phillip Helton (Ann).

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Calvin Gooch and the Rev. Bill Trotter will officiate. Interment will follow in Liberty Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
