Roy Lee Loggins, Sr.

Roy Lee Loggins Sr., age 69 of Gillsville, Ga, passed away July 26, 2020. Mr. Loggins was born on June 12, 1951, to the late George and Thelma Stephens Loggins. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Roy Lee was a former heavy equipment operator for Inland Containers and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Loggins was preceded in death by his parents, George Williams Loggins and Thelma Stephens along with Stepfather, Jack B. Elliott; siblings, Ernest “Red” Loggins and Jeanette Loggins Allen. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Sue Loggins; daughters, Donna Loggins and Ginger Lee Loggins all of Gillsville, Ga; sons, Roy Lee Loggins Jr. of Mississippi and George Kenny Loggins of Gillsville, Ga; grandchildren, Dustin Ray Loggins and Jacob Hunter Loggins; sisters, Virginia Alexander of Louisiana and Doris Loggins Cronan of Cleveland, Ga; brothers, Edward “Curly” Loggins of Demorest, Ga, Chester Loggins of Alto, Ga, and Harold Wayne Loggins of Arkansas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made for funeral expenses.
