Roy Mabron Worley

Roy Mabron “Goat” Worley, age 71, of Cornelia, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Mr. Worley was born on November 11, 1952, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Roy Lee and Lillie Marie Worley. He worked as a construction foreman and was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mabron was preceded in death by his brother, Roddy Worley. Survivors include his wife, Judy Worley, Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Kaniewsk, Demorest; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Kevin Savage, Alto; stepson, Michael Grier, Cornelia; sisters, Myrte Worley, Diane Goodson, Janie Lynch (Marvin), Janice Miller (Benny); grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Austin Kaniewski, Jacob Savage, Nicholas Savage, Brittany Grier, Santana Grier; great-grandchildren, Aidan Cook and Grayson Savage. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Adamson will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Nacoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
